I think that some of the most beautiful color combinations are found in nature, so when I’m looking for color inspiration I often look no further than my garden. This beautiful little flower is a vinca – one of the first plants to bloom in my flower beds this year.
Social Media Icon Sets
If you have a website – blog, e-commerce site, or informational site – you probably already understand that connecting with your audience via the various social media platforms is a very important part of online marketing. Social media icon sets make connecting much easier by providing one-click access to your various social media profiles, email, and subscribe options with recognizable buttons that you place on your site. There are tons of icon sets available online, but one of the challenges I have faced recently when working on my niche blogs is finding nice social media icon sets that match my blogs and that include icons for Pinterest and Google+. Pinterest, especially, is growing at an astounding rate and I want my readers to be able to find me there through my blogs.
I started designing my own icon sets for my blogs and decided to put some sets up for sale at Etsy. I will be adding many more icons as I get them finished and will probably be offering some free sets here before too long. As with most of my designs available on Etsy, these icons can be customized to match any color scheme.
See the icons I currently have available in the social media section of my Etsy shop.
Color Love – Potentilla
We’ve had some strange weather here lately – the kind of weather that holds the promise of warm days and sunshine even though we know the cold and snow likely is not gone for the season. With all the clouds and wind hanging about today, I decided it was time to make a bright, colorful palette using one of my photos. This is a potentilla flower that was blooming in my garden two summers ago.
